Service Online OPM

  • The “Services Online” web page for the Office of Personnel Management is designed for federal employees to manage their retirement services online
  • Services online can’t be used to make any changes to Federal dental or Federal vision insurance options (also known as FEDVIP)
  • One an application for retirement benefits is approved, the government provides interim payments until an actual payment amount can be determined

A number of different services can be handled on the US government Office of Personnel Management web site, like changing federal and state income tax withholding, updating a mailing address, requesting a duplicate annuity booklet, viewing an annual annuity statement, finding 1099-R tax forms, and viewing a “Year to Date” summary of payments made. Employees who want to withdraw money from their TSP Thrift Savings Plan should know that it can take up to 8 weeks to process a withdrawal of funds after an application has been received.

Service Online OPM Comments

  • The “Civil Service Retirement System” (also CSRS) retirement benefits payment will not  exceed 80 percent of your highest three year’s average salary
  • In the majority of cases, workers reach this 80 threshold when they have 41 years and 11 months of service accumulated, not including any sick leave that has been built up
  • Some employees will have certain exemptions like those who work in law enforcement

When Should An Exact Retirement Date Be Chosen?

Employees applying for retirement benefits from the US government should choose an exact retirement date as soon as they can. Three different factors go in to deciding an exact retirement date:

  • Highest thee years average salary
  • Length of employment
  • Calculated proration of cost-of-living adjustments

NHUIS NH Claimant

  • Register for online services with New Hampshire’s Unemployment Insurance System in order to file a claim for benefits
  • Registration should only take a few minutes to complete BUT application for unemployment benefits takes approximately 25 minutes to complete
  • Once the user has filed a UI claim they will receive a confirmation number (this number should be written down and kept in a safe place)

Once a users has registered for the NHUIS NH Claimant service they can file a new application for unemployment benefits (must be unemployed and a resident of New Hampshire), reopen an existing claim, file weekly continued claims against a claim (this option is only available for those who have already been approved for NHUIS NH Benefits), access and answer correspondence from the New Hampshire’s Unemployment Insurance department, file an appeal (this option is available when a claim is denied) and view various information about a NHUIS NH claim.

NHUIS NH Claimant Comments

  • Applicants will have 24 hours to complete an UI application once it has started
  • Those who start a UI application but do not log back on within 24 hours will have the application will deleted

Chase QP Login

  • Sign up or access the popular quick pay service from Chase online
  • This state of the art technology allows a customer to send money to another person without the need for bothersome cash or checks
  • All that is required in order to send money is the recipient’s email address or mobile number

Chase QP Login service currently work with Chase, Bank of America, Capital One, FirstBank, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo or other participating banks of clearXchange.  Those who alreayd have a Chase QP Login account can simply access the service with their username and password (those who are new to quick pay will have to go through a short registration process).  Users do NOT have to be a Chase card customer in order to use the QP service as they can simply create a Chase online profile in order to send money.

Exactly how does the Chase QP system work?  (aka the nuts and bolts behind the scenes)

A Chase QuickPay payment involves two people—a sender and a recipient

  • The sender sends money using an email address (or mobile phone number)
  • The recipient receives a message of the “payment waiting”
  • The recipient signs up (if new to Chase QuickPay) or logs onto chase.com
  • The recipient accepts and receives the payment

How long does it take to receive money using the Chase QP service?  Transfers between Chase checking accounts (i.e. both the sender and receiver have Chase accounts), Chase Liquid and select participating clearXchange banks (mentioned above… BOA, Capital One, etc) are typically available within minutes but no later than the next business day.  All other transfers can take up to 2 business days.  Any questions or concerns in regards to the Chase QP Login service can be directed to a US Based customer service agent at 1-877-242-7372.

I Want My Transcript

  • Transcript request customers will have to access an existing account or select the sign up button to create a new account in order to make a request
  • Federal Law requires a signed (pen to paper signature) Consent Form be returned before orders can be processed by the school
  • The consent form will be presented (and available to be printed) towards the end of the transcript order

Once the I Want My Transcript customers sent the Consent Form and it is approved it does not need to be re-submitted for future transcript orders.  Ordering transcripts through Transcripts on Demand does not determine whether a transcript is official or not official (please refer to the policies of the school sending the transcript in regards to what makes it official).  Some schools may allow for an electronic signature while others will require the customer to sign the document in pen to paper format.

I Want My Transcript Comments

  • FERPA (aka The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) requires the student personally authorizes the release of his/her transcript to a third-party
  • Parents are not allowed to sign the consent form in lieu of the child even if they are paying for the child’s education
  • Parents who would like a copy of their kids transcripts should contact the institutions (i.e. Ohios State, SEMO) Registrar’s office
  • All consent form must be returned within 14 days of placing an order with I Want My Transcript
  • If the consent form is not received in the alloted amount of time the order will be cancelled and the customer will receive a full refund
